Oven-Baked Cuban Sliders

INGREDIENTS

8 sliders (approximately 280g)
6-8 slices Swiss cheese (approximately 140g)
150g sliced cooked ham
75g shaved ham
125g Golden Sun Short & Sweet Gherkins (or Golden Sun Sour Sweet Gherkins, sliced)
2 1/2 Tbsp aioli
2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp garlic butter, melted

PREPARATION
  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC fan bake. Line a large roasting dish with baking paper.
  2. Without separating the sliders, cut all the way through horizontally. Place the bottom half in prepared dish. Top with half of the cheese, then add the cooked ham, shaved ham and gherkins. Arrange remaining cheese on top.
  3. Stir the aioli and mustard together and spread on the underside of the top half of the sliders. Place on top of the cheese and gently press down. Brush the tops of the sliders with melted garlic butter.
  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, until sliders are warmed through and the cheese is melted. Slice and serve.
